I am a society dying of too much choice
01Apr08
(Or is that “from”?)
Coming at you today from the embarrassment of riches department, in two parts.
1. I have a pound of key limes. About 20 little suckers. ($1.99 at Market Basket!) What to make? Seems to be enough for three recipes. And how long will they keep in the fridge?
2. I need new pens and I’m flummoxed.
Necessary
- wet—requires almost no pressure (ballpoints need not apply)
- writes slippery and smooth like oleomargarine
- doesn’t run out in a week (srsly, these Pilot G-2 07 retractables have the half-life of a gnat)
Preferable
- retractable
- not too smeary
- strong tip
- fine not extra-fine
- squooshy grip if in fact that does make a different with that whole RSI thing
Advice?

Pens, pens, pens…
I, myself like Micron pens. They have tons of ink, so they take forever to run out. You can get nibs in every imaginable line weight. They also have tons of colors. These are india ink filled though, which can be messy.
I used to use a lot of Pilot Varsity pens though. They are kind of strangely classy for a disposable pen.
The other type of pen that I like is a good get pen. I have tried this one at the store and I like it a lot…
